I am currently finishing up my masters in speech and language therapy. Glad to have gotten out of corporate American while i had the chance and now i can honestly say that i look forward to the future where i have a job i love. I am very passionate about living and enjoying life. I mean, if we're not enjoying ourselves, why bother?! A note about the above: I don't think life is all fun and games. It can be very serious. But even when things are tough, you can choose to find ways to improve life or you can let it slip away. I try to find ways to make life better.

Personal growth and learning to embrace change seem to be big themes for me right now. I frequently go through phases where I sort of hunker down and try to take a good objective look at my life and subsequently my self in order to continue to be increasingly more comfortable in my own skin. Through this processs it has become clear that the more I know myself the better I understand others, which is important to me. That said, my strengths are being an exceptional listener, saying true things that make people feel better, and the ability to make people laugh when facing hardship. On the other hand, as our strengths tend to be are undoing, my truth telling can be off putting for some and I am at times mistaken for a person who thinks she is superior. Not the case, I am far and above harder on myself than on anyone else. Wow, that was an intensely serious intro... Well, that is what I'm like, seriously intense and engaging, but thankfully, with bouts of silliness as well.
